About FeeFriction
FeeFriction is an independent educational website that helps people in the United States measure financial friction: bank and transfer fees, APR and interest drag, refinance break-even months, HELOC interest, paycheck withholding estimates, and retirement expense-ratio drag.
Our goal is clarity — labeled assumptions, primary-source references where relevant, and tools that prioritize total cost over marketing language. We do not originate loans, sell refinance packages, manage investments, or provide personalized financial advice.
What we publish
- 10 interactive calculators with transparent methodology
- Guides that explain how to read results without hype
- Priority state context pages (for tax/housing friction differences)
- Trust pages: methodology, data sources, editorial policy, disclaimer
Editorial standards
Content is reviewed for clear assumptions and accurate descriptions of formulas. We prohibit get-rich-quick claims, fake star ratings, and Product structured data without real reviews. See our editorial policy and methodology.
How we stay free
FeeFriction is supported by advertising (Google AdSense). Ads are labeled and do not change calculator math. Details: Advertising disclosure.
